Two ways to move your car
By road on an international car carrier truck between Europe and Turkey; by sea in an enclosed container from Canada, the USA and distant European ports. We help you choose the right one when you ask for a quote.
By road: car carrier truck
Your car is loaded onto a multi-deck car carrier at your address in Europe, follows the Balkan corridor, enters Turkey at Kapıkule and is delivered to your door.
- 5–9 business days from Germany, 7–9 from the Netherlands and Belgium
- Door to door, to any city in Turkey
- Flatbed carrier for non-running and electric vehicles
- Same route back from Turkey to Europe
By sea: enclosed container
Your car travels by ship inside a sealed steel container. It's the only option from North America, and in Europe it pays off for several cars or a car shipped with belongings.
- Regular routes: Toronto, New York, Los Angeles ↔ Turkey
- Usually 17–30 days port to port
- Arrival: Ambarlı (Istanbul), Izmir, Mersin
- Insured throughout the sea voyage
Five steps from quote to delivery
Usually 1–2 weeks by road from Europe, 5–10 weeks door to door by container from North America. You always know which stage you're at.

Why ship your car instead of driving it?
Germany to Turkey is more than 2,000 km: border queues, fatigue, fuel, tolls and customs waits. From North America, the only way across the ocean is by ship.
- Fly, and relaxYour car is on the road while you are on holiday – no queue at Kapıkule.
- Documented before departureThe car's condition is recorded with photos at pickup and compared on delivery.
- Insured in transitThe car is covered by transport insurance from pickup to delivery.
Who does what
In international car shipping, most surprises happen at customs. Before you book, we want you to know exactly where our job ends.
What UZCAN does
- Transport planning: car carrier truck or container and vessel booking
- Photo-documented condition at pickup
- Insurance throughout transport
- WhatsApp updates at key stages
- Checking your paperwork before departure
What you or your customs broker do
- Deregistering the car in the departure country (if required)
- Checking vehicle age and import eligibility
- Customs declarations, duties and fees
- Individual vehicle approval in Turkey, if required
In Turkey, duty-free import is only possible for vehicles under 3 years old with definitive-return status; temporary-import rules for residents abroad are separate. We recommend speaking with a licensed customs broker before booking. Read our customs guide
